Run a timer tool + and latency checker on its own before using the reg tweak(needs reboot).
Did you test out removing cpu power settings some time back? cant remember who it was.

That latency checker isnt availible from the dev anymore, i can mediafire that and the timer tool i use so any testing is persistant pc to pc.

The timer tool for some reason mades things worse for me the last time I used it. I already did a latancymon check last week just to double check so have a general number that has not changed for about a year.

But im getting on fine with it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Ive tried things that people swear by but i either dont see any visible improvement or like you something gets worse ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well tested and didn't take long. Nothing noticeable on anything(latencymon or gaming((but my games are not demanding) but my machine being classified as a dinosaur still moves along quite nicely so who knows
 
Im still on 8/9th gen with no technical reason to upgrade although a sweet little 12th gen 46w pentium(solder TIM) gold setup has caught my eye.
Wonder if i could get Windows 7 running on it,,,

Still got a skt FM2+ rig i refuse to get rid of, 2 old dell XP workstations gathering dust but still (should be)functional.
 
Amd 8350 for the win.. my asus sabertooth board is going for just as much as I bought it for online sales right now which is crazy.

My ram is also in high demand.
 
I'm guessing it's the end of HackBGRT. To fix the vulnerabillity, UEFI would have to restrict what image files are allowed, and a random unsigned logo would be banned.
 
I dont care about boot logos and always disable them.
They will circumvent that, 1 thing i know is that there is always some ratbag cleverer than you :/

I can disable the boot logo in my bios but I like seeing the logo since I can tell it's starting up when I do my overclocking. Removing the logo however removes the spinning circle when booting on my machine.
 
The best solution to this logo issue is the one nobody ever knows about. one such solution would be to use a non local MBR filtered drive to load windows (USB SSD or a THUMB DRIVE). Prevention is better than cure. i would never use uefi. Hope this helps: mr darkweb.

The best solution is to not get it in the first place by just being careful. I like UEFI for it's convenience and if we always think something is bad we never advance and would have been stuck in the dos age still.

I bit into a lump of gristle in a hot sausage roll once, didnt eat another sossy roll for a few years and when you are out and about a greggs hot sossy roll does the trick. Did GDubya ever eat another pretzel?

Windows 10 17763.4499, net 3.5 enabled and 4.8 installed, how can i stop .Nets rebuilding caches, there are services on w7 which i can disable without a problem but there are no services on w10 :(

Mine just stopped after I removed something I can no longer remember on Ntlite lol

That's quite a story
