I need to upgrade some 2008 servers to 2012r2, trouble is after they need around 200+ updates. So I came across NTlite but I'm not sure if what I'm doing is correct.
I downloaded SW_DVD9_Windows_Svr_Std_and_DataCtr_2012_R2_64Bit_English_-4_MLF_X19-82891.iso from the volume license center.
This has a few different versions of 2012r2 on it. standard and datacenter core/gui.
I then used wsusoffline to download some patches. Using these options
In NTlite I loaded 2012r2 Datacenter with gui
Went to the updates section and dragged the updates from \wsusoffline1181\wsusoffline\client\w62-x64\glb
apply it and processed it and it pretty much skips all the updates.
Log file is basically full of this:
