Windows 11

Tiny11
Think Nuhi allready covered that or just know where the right JSON files is or can change them in programing them in NTL.

This hack is widely misrepresented despite its sensational coverage. Nothing is being debloated.

Content Delivery Manager connects to the MS servers with an "invalid" region code, and can't find any offered 3rd-party apps. Another side effect is it breaks the default layout. Other than blocking Suggested Apps links, no apps are removed. Start Menu is now missing the default pinned apps.

You're only creating the illusion of a cleaner Windows.

Removing Suggested Apps is done by removing Content Delivery Manager, or blocking all delivery settings (via external reg file).

NTLite could do the hack by supporting en-001 or en-150 locales. You can also edit your own preset with the same value.
The real question is why would nuhi implement a hack to bypass his own licensed feature?

Because removing a component or blocking all delivery settings causes problems for using microsoft spotlight feature and god knows what else. this way would let you use your computer without removing your system component. I am not against hack since all we do as "tweaks" is also hacking. changing a locale shouldn't be considered as hard hack or hack in that matter. I would love to use microsoft spotlight feature if i was not forced to remove content delivery manager just to clear my startmenu

Nope - on both statements!
Spotlight is an advertising screen for MS products in the middle - that's why i remove it.
In fact i remove all content stuff with NTL.
I already have a cleaner StartMenu exporting it to a json and edit it from there to suit my needs.

That new settings page is a good example of where some confusion in the topic of "bloat" comes from. People like me look at all this dynamic/recommended type of content that Microsoft keeps shoving into each new operating system and versions, and it is taking an absolute colossal amount of time and effort to tame all these predictive features.

While many of them are very small in terms of resource usage, there are just so many now that it's nearly impossible to disable them all. When you do, you can easily save 50% or more on overall resources, while greatly improving stability, security, and privacy too. It's not really the apps and stuff like that which are the bloat, that's just disk space. It's the fact that the apps run without our knowledge or consent, have telemetry going all the time, and are trying to predict and recommend stuff even though consumers have not ever asked for any of this.

Nobody is saying things like, "Microsoft please give me more telemetry or maybe integrate a 4th photo editor or other app that nobody uses, let it spy on all my data, and do things like automatically import all my pictures or whatever, without my permission." It's all so frustrating...

No one is going to have "settings" apps etc open 24/7, they will do what they need to do them shut them down and hopefully they will unload quickly so even if they are resource hungry it doesnt matter.

Windows cant send diddly squat to MS if it doesnt go online, im still happily using debian live for my online stuff.

A single layer dvd is 4.3gb(maximium in Nero), dual layer is 8gb and a blu ray is 25gb minimum, i work with all 3 but mainly dvds so im not overly bothered by how much space a fresh windows(7 and upwards) takes, its all the additional space it takes that i take offence to, pagefile hibernation and reserved storage etc, all the logging etc. Cut those out and windows size of up to 8gb isnt a concern, its how that (up to)8gb runs and once ive got my mitts on it it goes like poo off a shovel and even doing my most resource hungry tasks its still using less that half what windows(10) does default.

23H2's new Settings home page looks hideous.

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"SettingsPageVisibility"="hide:home"

I'm at a point that I don't/can't care anymore... They can't be this dumb but seems they are. I will just clear the sh*t out of it, set my settings for one time and won't even get in there again. The only reason I update is to get latest features and my work softwares needs updated OS, or won't work.

I miss when we actually bought windows operating systems. Found things so much better before without so much get the system to tell Microsoft if you like it or not. Sales dictated that some and then overall usage number did the rest.

Microsoft mess up then users showed that.
