Installed the March 2019 Windows updates & Windows Defender definitions.
Now, I get a User Account Control (UAC) prompt that ntlite.exe is blocked for my protection. (Sample image taken off the internet)
Now, I get a User Account Control (UAC) prompt that ntlite.exe is blocked for my protection. (Sample image taken off the internet)
- This happens on both a Domain joined & workgroup machine
- This happens with AVG & Windows Defender installed
- NTLite could run before installing the updates, while the updates were downloaded & ready for installation in Settings app.
- Can't run it directly from the Start Menu
- Can't run as administrator directly from the Start Menu
- Can run CMD.exe as administrator and launch NTLite
- Note, this does not apply to the installer (NTLite_setup_x64_beta.exe) but to the executable to run NTLite
- Windows 10 v1809 build 17763.379 (before removal), no luck
- Tried removing KB4489899, no luck
- Tried removing KB4487044, no luck
- Tried removing KB4464330, no luck
- Windows 10 v1809 build 17763.1 (after removal), no luck
- Will try rolling back Windows Defender definitions
- Will try disabling App & browser control
