GamerOS Windows 10 & 11 DIY Preset

Hey hey whats good peoples, Ive been messing around doing something, tell me what you think??

Basically its a all in one iso media creation tool, it allows you to download any version of windows* with renaming of the created bat file with a bit of powershell knowledge, direct from microsoft and then edits the iso by using dism to remove only app packages, and disable features and capabilities it reduces a normal iso down to fit on a 4gb drive

It is work in progress, Ive tried to make it as stream lined as possible, currently it does windows 10 iso only but if you know what it is doing then you can do a windows 11 iso as the functions are in there ive just set it currently to download a windows 10 iso and I am deleting windows 11 prep tools from the mct iso downloader to bypass tpm and stuff, so if you wanna mess around with it and do windows 11 it should do the same thing, it should work from any where you run the file, if you wanna help out you can always checkout my github https://github.com/Windows-GamerOS

You may ask why, well this iso you can update and it will never change and yet its completely default windows

Future plans for the script, 7tsp to change icons, without actually installing iso?? and im trying to figure out how to add postsetup configuration to the script, i have trouble creating the needed files cause of the $$OEM$$ folder is like being weird and i need to learn more

Mod note:
There are several Windows ISO modding toolkits, and no one's here to discourage you from writing one. But if you cross the line where it's duplicating NTLite features, then like other non-NTLite solutions -- we'd have to ask discussion move to another forum.

Nothing personal, understand the cost for hosting this site is paid out of license fees. But you're free to post a link to your GitHub projects with a note that support questions should be directed to you in private. Many gamers appreciate your work so far, but please keep any side projects like this on the outside.

I watch a YouTube video of someone who created a custom image with NTLite and GamingOS, when I made the image I left everything stock from GamingOS. I’m running into the problem that I have no Microsoft edge and that’s fine, I don’t use it. But when using winget I can’t download any apps specifically browser apps, it’s telling me to update winget but it won’t update because it also came with no Microsoft apps. When trying to run winget I’m PowerShell it says it’s missing. Anyone else experience this?

winget isn't installed in this preset, as it's fairly stripped down. There's a host of ugly problems trying to get winget running.
I would suggest using Chocolatey if you wanted to install Chrome or Firefox, it's far easier.

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had a XML profile that was similar to GamerOS, but with the Microsoft store, BlueTooth, and Wi-Fi enabled / supported or a XML profile to build upon that already has a local account setup and I only need to work on the compatibility tab. That would be great if anyone does thanks. (I also have a license key if anyone was wondering)

It's answered in this GamerOS post.

Seems like even with Capability Access and reinstall of Snip&Sketch the shortcut is broken somehow. Guess I'll re-enable more stuff in hopes of stumbling on the right component.

Edit:
Seems like I had to completely reinstall Snip&Sketch as well as repair the links with SFC + DISM. I'm so glad it's finally working.
hi there! can I ask the process you did to make it work? i'm struggling to make it work. I reinstall snipping tool from the STORE and with powershell I reinstall ms-screenclip using "DISM /Online /Add-Capability /CapabilityName:Windows.Client.ShellComponents~~~~0.0.1.0" but It still not working

This preset removes Microsoft.ScreenSketch (Snipping Tool), just restore it before making your image.

If you have an existing system, download Microsoft.ScreenSketch from the Store using:
PowerShell GUI for downloading Microsoft Store Apps - W10_11StoreApps.ps1

Open the ScreenSketch package file in File Explorer, and it should auto-install.
I already installed it through the Microsoft Store but also with this method the problem persist. I can open it but after I press the capture button nothing appens...
I noticed that with this method there are also 2 other packages called "Microsoft.UI.Xaml" and "Microsoft.VCLibs" but I can't install this because gave me this erros:
"Unable to install because the following apps need to be closed Microsoft.DesktopAppInstaller_1.19.10173.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe Microsoft.GamingApp_2301.1001.5.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe"

do you have a chance to open a teaching topic about the use of iso editor powershell and explain it for those who do not know

Nota do mod: Essa predefinição desabilita as contas Bluetooth, Microsoft Store e MS. Se você quiser esses recursos, siga estas instruções.

Edite a predefinição em um editor de texto, localize e exclua as linhas:
[CÓDIGO]
<c>hwsupport_bluetooth 'Bluetooth'</c>
<c>Microsoft.StorePurchaseApp 'Store Experience Host'</c>
<c>Microsoft.WindowsStore 'Windows Store'</c>
<c>passport 'Microsoft Passport'</c>
[/CÓDIGO]

Anyone have any idea's what else I can do, anything needing to be fixed? Im currently trying out leaving update ability (sacrificing the iso being 1 gb) and leaving app capabilities behind, also Im trying out making the image not lack any features so basically after installing you see a windows installation just like the original, with all the features and other items when scrolling thru menus and stuff intact like the network device all options are still there, I want to leave windows 10 behind and move onto 11, if there is no further issues this most likely will be the last windows 10 preset that I do (to have another kb language and such look under iso section and recheck your default language, to enable support for changing later recheck language pack install support) other then that you shouldn't edit the presets

Mod note: This preset disables Bluetooth, Microsoft Store, and MS Accounts. If you want those features, follow these instructions.

Edit the preset in a text editor, find and delete the lines:
Code:
        <c>hwsupport_bluetooth 'Bluetooth'</c>
        <c>Microsoft.StorePurchaseApp 'Store Experience Host'</c>
        <c>Microsoft.WindowsStore 'Windows Store'</c>
        <c>passport 'Microsoft Passport'</c>
