GamerOS Windows 10 & 11 DIY Preset

I have noticed that with the recent releases of Windows 11, more components, settings and services have been added. Has anyone attempted to make an updated preset for Windows 11 23H2 or 24H2? I'm considering attempting it, but my time is limited.

Txmmy said that he is updating GamerOS for 23H2 windows 11 very soon, afaik.

Hello guys im new here and i installed a win 10 2021 ltsc iso with gameros preset.
i managed to re enable bluetooth, firewall, secondary language and folder view icons not saving.
but maybe someone here knows how to fix not getting notifications? primarily windows defender notifications if a threat is found etc...
also if anyone knows how to re enable wifi that would be cool so i could install the iso on my laptop too

Thank you for Txmmy and everyone for your great work!

Remove these lines from the preset:
Code:
<c>unp 'Universal Notification Platform (UNP)'</c>
<c>wlan</c>

i just installed the gamer os directly and cant add a language rn can anyone help with adding it with codes ?

GamerOS preset removes support for installing new Languages:
Code:
<c>lpksetup 'Language Pack Setup'</c>

But I wouldn't add new Language Packs post-install, because languages should be integrated first before all other changes.

1. Start with a clean ISO.
2. Download your Language Pack updates using this script: PowerShell GUI for Downloading Language Packs - W10_11LangPack.ps1
3. From the Updates screen, add the folder containing the language files. Apply changes, but do not make an ISO.

4. Load updated ISO, and add the Monthly Updates.
5. Apply GamerOS preset. Create new ISO.

If you try adding new languages to the already installed GamerOS system, weird problems can happen. This is true for other presets.

Kinda wild to see how much can be taken out of Windows. I am tempted to try to make a modification/update to the preset for Windows 10 Enterprise as a test. I am more forgiving to certain components. Anyways, here is what I am trying to keep:

1) Bluetooth, Wifi, Network Discovery
-----A laptop will be the test machine. Wifi is necessary. Using bluetooth controllers is wanted.
2) Microsoft Store and Account
-----Even though Steam is primarily used, a few games like Halo MCC or Minecraft require a Microsoft Account login to use Xbox Live services. It looks like Uplay and Battle.net may need something else? I don't really like those clients however. How much of the Xbox apps/components are even needed? Is Xbox Core needed?
3) Compatibility with streaming services.
-----Ex. Watching Netflix via Firefox.
4) Compatibility with communications programs.
-----Ex. Discord calls.
5) Access to certain Windows tools/programs.
-----SFC scannow, safely remove devices, snipping tool, control panel, disk management, task scheduler, event viewer, print-to-pdf, standard printing functionality. group policy, registry. Probably missing some. Disk management has been used to check for working drives though I suppose Diskpart is the same thing, but without a UI. Event viewer is useful for chasing the odd driver glitch or game crash, though I am on the fence about keeping it.
------Is there anything important that breaks if the Windows Feature Experience Pack - Desktop is removed? Can the individual components be installed as needed? AccountsService seems like it may be related to Microsoft Accounts.
6) Any components that games may need.
-----Not too knowledgeable on this part. Reading through the forum suggests that Speech Recognition, Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer (Legacy) may be needed for a few games? And UAC or UX Consent being gone may cause some issues?
7) VPN compatibility
8) Compatiblity with the offline version of Office
9) Windows Update
-----Is the medic service even needed? Unless someone can convince me to not use this. I get the gripe over WU, but it makes it easy to keep up with security updates and the rare missing driver (I tend to manually install most drivers).

I have managed to find a few of these in this thread, but it is time consuming to parse through all 50+ pages so if anyone has any tips or consolidated info, I would greatly appreciate it.

Well that about double what I was able to find in this thread. It helps a lot! I'll be sure to parse through and see what I need.

You would know (or should know) why those features are relevant in an enterprise environment. For GamerOS, a lot of other gamers are willing to pass up compatibility for an even lowered footprint.

yea there is 2 seperate areas of concern interesst here:
1) for normal, gamer users
2) cooperate related users.

I am in area 1) for instance and can go way deeper with debloat

I am aware of most of them I think. My idea is a bit more multimedia centric, but extra compatibility has come in handy before.
