I've tried this several times and can't seem to locate all the dependencies.I noticed it's the GamerOs preset that has had store and all removed. Personally, i would restart the iso build but before applying it, add the widgets and features you need first instead of trying to add them after
I'm using Windows 11Guide: Optimized Image
December 11th, 2024: This guide was last updated for W10 21H2, but I have confirmed it works properly on the latest W10, 22H2, ISO available from Microsoft. Updates to this guide have been in the works, but were delayed due to issues on Microsoft's side, and by time those were fixed I ran into...www.ntlite.com
same principles applyI'm using Windows 11
I know how to use the app, I'm just having trouble locating the dependencies, as I stated.same principles apply
I can't do anything with it, it's like it's not installed at all.realrobd you can use Store compatibility, have you tried this?
Actually no, you can just load the GamerOS, build your ISO and have a perfectly fine install. But... Like I said... I enabled MS Store under apps, but I couldn't find the listed dependencies to enable them. MS Store is installed but does not work because of those missing dependencies.realrobd i hope you are aware that the GamerOS preset is just a guideline......... and if you had read through the posts as suggested, you would understand that things have to be changed for your own personal use
post #458. BUT apply the changes BEFORE you hit apply
Right and I just want ease of useContrary to popular belief, MS Store isn't required to execute apps -- only to download and purchase.
I completely missed that =\
That's funny xDA tale of two camps:
Hard-core gamer: "ermahgerd -- MS Store robs my FPS, and muh privacy!!"
Casual gamer: "Hey, nothing runs."
Remember kids, presets are just templates. You can modify the XML file inside Notepad, and remove offending lines. Obviously start with a clean ISO if you've already removed components.
Appx doesn't expose you to worse exploits. In fact, it's sheer annoyance is because it runs inside an app container. Every user is provisioned with a private copy of the installed app. Infection of a personal instance can't cross to another user on the same system. Is there a reason they cant check the store under compatibility tab and have what's needed for the store to work? I've never used the microsoft store so I have never even tried it, also having modern app support opens you up to exploits, it's much safer to just not bother with anything appx related
sadly no. I can install the control panel using "winget install 9NF8H0H7WMLT", it installs fine and I get the confirmation box "has been installed, run now". However it won't run. No context-menu entry, and nvcplui.exe returns "not found".I read stories on other sites, where disabling UAC causes weird errors with specific apps launched from the taskbar. The question would be, does NVIDIA Control Panel still work if called by "nvcplui.exe"?
